Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) primarily focuses on replacing the hormones that your body naturally produces prior to peri menopause, menopause, or andropause.
Who can benefit from Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)?
HRT may be right for you if you struggle with common symptoms of low hormone levels, including hot flashes, night sweats, low libido (sex drive), vaginal dryness, mental fog, sleep issues, weight gain, painful intercourse, decreased energy levels, etc. HRT can benefit both men and women. There is no specific age to start HRT, though most commonly is late 30s to mid 40s and even early 50s. Hormone levels start to naturally decline after age 30.

How long does pellet therapy last?
How long does pellet therapy last? For most women, pellets last 3-4 months, depending on metabolism, activity level and other factors. We typically re-pellet every 13-15 weeks to promote continuous hormone levels.
How often do you recheck hormone levels?
At Elysian, we check intiai labs prior to consultation, then again approximately 7 weeks after starting HRT to ensure adquate dosing and to plan for any changes in doses, if needed. After intial dosing, we will recheck levels with any dosing changes, every 6 months, and then annually. Dosing can be affected by stress, activity level, weight gain or loss, and other factors, so we want to monitor to ensure correct dosing and optimal hormone levels for our patients.
